Settings To download a language not included on your device, go to www.garmin .com/forerunner310xt/owners and click Garmin Connect. Your device can only contain one downloaded language at a time. To turn message tones or vibration alerts on or off: 1. Press mode > select Settings > System > Tones and Vibration. 2. Select from the following options: • Key Tones-turn button tones on or off. • Message Tones-turn message tones on or off. • Message Vibration-turn message vibrations on or off. To change the display settings: 1. Press mode > select Settings > System > Display. 2. Select from the following options: • Backlight Timeout-select the amount of time the backlight stays on. Use a short backlight setting to conserve battery power. • Contrast-select the amount of screen contrast. To change map settings: 1. Press mode > select Settings > System > Map. 2. To change the orientation of the map, press enter and select an option. • North Up-orients the map with North at the top of the screen. • Track Up-orients the map with your direction of travel at the top of the screen. 3.
