Selecting Options and Entering Data To enter data and select options, you must use the ROCKER to highlight, select, or choose an item in a list or a field on the screen. Use the ENTER and ROCKER keys to select options, enter names and numbers in data fields, and start your selections. To select and start an option: 1. Press MENU on any page. An options menu appears with a list of optional features for that page. 2. Use the ROCKER to move the highlight up, down, right, or left on the menu to your selection. GETTING STARTED > USING THE GPSMAP 296 To exit a menu or return to the previous setting: 1. Press QUIT to move backward through your steps. 2. To return to the starting page, press QUIT repeatedly. Selecting Options and Entering Data
To enter data and select options, you must use the
ROCKER
to
highlight, select, or choose an item in a list or a field on the screen.
Use the
ENTER
and
ROCKER
keys
to select options, enter names
and numbers in data fields, and start your selections.
To select and start an option:
1.
Press
MENU
on any page. An options menu appears with a
list of optional features for that page.
2.
Use the
ROCKER
to move the highlight up, down, right, or
left on the menu to your selection.
Selecting an option from an options menu
To exit a menu or return to the previous setting:
1.
Press
QUIT
to move backward through your steps.

To return to the starting page, press
