6.8 Foreword Flying a DME Arc Approach Approaches that contain DME arcs are supported by the GTN. The GTN will Getting Started provide guidance (left / right) relative to the arc. If you wish to activate the DME arc leg manually, the aircraft must be near the arc, as shown in the shaded area Xpdr Ctrl below. With the approach Utilities activated, the Map Page displays an extension of the final approach course in magenta (remember, magenta is used to depict the active leg of the flight plan) System and "vtf" appears as part of the active leg on the Map page (as a reminder that the approach was activated with vectors-to-final).
