Appendix Problem/Question My battery gauge does not seem accurate. The touch screen is not responding to my touches. How do I know my nüvi is in USB mass storage mode? My computer never senses that the nüvi is connected. I cannot see any new removable drives in my list of drives. Solution/Answer Allow the unit to fully discharge, and fully charge it (without interrupting the charge cycle). Calibrate the touch screen as described on page 26. When your nüvi is in USB mass storage mode, a picture of a nüvi connected to a computer is shown. Also, you should see two new removable disk drives listed in My Computer. 1. Unplug the USB cable from your computer. 2. Turn off the nüvi. 3. Plug the USB cable into a USB port on your computer and into your nüvi. The nüvi automatically turns on and goes into USB mass storage mode. Ensure your nüvi is connected to a USB port and not a USB hub. If you have several network drives mapped on your computer, Windows can have trouble assigning drive letters to your nüvi drives.
