TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE - POWER HEAD LED FOR HELP-1.800.354.3643 OR WWW.GENIECOMPANY.COM Power head LED Red LED showing Green LED showing OFF OFF Continuous ON 1 BLINK, Pause (Repeat) 1 BLINK, Pause (Repeat) Possible Problem Solution Normal operation • Programming incomplete • Transmitter has not learned • Limit Programming incomplete • Safe-T-Beam® sensor obstruction going down • Door obstruction going down • Door obstruction going up None required • Complete programming • Push transmitter button to program (See section 7 ) • Set DOWN LIMIT programming • Check for obstruction, remove • Check for obstruction, remove. - Check door spring (See section 10) - Contact The Genie Company at 1-800-35-GENIE 2 BLINKS, Pause (Repeat) 3 BLINKS, Pause (Repeat) 4 BLINKS, Pause (Repeat) 5 BLINKS, Pause (Repeat) • Limit Programming incomplete • Wire to power head or wire connection at power head is bad. • Sensors out of alignment • Continuous obstruction of Safe-T-Beam® sensor • Limits set backwards • Wall button wire short • Wall button wires reversed in power head connector. • Chain/belt is too tight • Control system failure • Set UP LIMIT programming • Check power head wiring, check connections, - Replace or repair • Check Source & Sensor alignment • Check for obstruction of Safe-T-Beam® sensor • Clear limits and reprogram (See section 6 ) • Check button(s) and wiring. Staples can cut insulation and shorts wires. Replace Wall Control, repair or replace wiring. - Contact The Genie Company at 1-800-35-GENIE • Reverse wire placement in power head connector.
