28 Getting Started 1.2 Installing the SIM Card, Battery, and Storage Card You need to remove the back cover before you can install the SIM card, battery and storage card on your device. SIM card The SIM card contains your phone number, service details, and phonebook/ message memory. Your device supports both 1.8V and 3V SIM cards. 1.3 Charging the battery Getting Started 33 New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you install and charge the battery. Getting Started 35 1.5 Using the In-Car Holder Assemble and install the supplied in-car holder so you can use your device while inside a vehicle. Put together the in-car holder 1. Enter your PIN Most SIM cards are preset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is provided by your wireless service provider. 1.
