Troubleshooting

•

Red

indicator

lights

when

a

button

is

pressed,

but

the

audio/video

equipment

does

not

respond

to

remote

commands

-

reposition

the

infrared

Emitter

so

that

it

is

directly

on

the

"IR

sensor

window"

of

the

component

you

wish

to

control.

Sometimes

the

location

of

the

IR

sensor

is

not

obvious.

Consult

the

owner's

manual

or

the

manufacturer

of

the

component

to

determine

its

exact

location.

•

Red

indicator

flickers

at

random

-

The

HE1000A

is

designed

to

receive

infrared

signals

and

occasionally

it

may

pick

up

random

infrared

"noise."

The

random

flickering

does

not

cause

any

harm,

unless

it

appears

to

interfere

with

proper

response

to

commands.

Try

moving

or

turning

the

HE1000A

Remote

Eye

so

that

it

is

not

affected

by

strong

sunlight

or

light

from

at

television

screen.

If

flickering

persists,

try

turning

off

the

television

receiver

to

see

if

it

is

affecting

the

HE1000A.

The

HE1000A

Remote

Eye

may

be

moved

away

from

the

television

to

eliminate

problems.

Noisy

electronic

light

dimmers

may

also

cause

interference.

Try

turning

them

off

to

test

them.

Limited

Warranty

Harman

Kardon

warrants

its

products

to

be

free

of

defects

in

materials

or

workmanship.

This

warranty

extends

for

one

year

from

the

date

of

purchase

by

the

original

consumer.

Any

products

returned

to

Harman

Kardon

and

found

to

be

defective

by

Harman

Kardon

within

the

warranty

period

will

be

repaired

or

replaced,

at

Harman

KardOn'S

option,

at

no

charge.

The

owner

must

pay

any

shipping

charges

incurred

in

sending

the

HE1000A

to

Harman

Kardon

for

replacement.

Harman

Kardon

will

not

be

responsible

for

the

actual

cost

of

installation

or

removal

of

the

product.

for

any

incidental

or

consequential

damages.

Some

states

do

not

allow

the

exclusion

or

limitation

of

incidental

or

consequentail

damages,

so

the

above

limitation

may

not

apply

to

you.
