Pre-Installation Checklist
Power is removed to all equipment in the system.
All safety precautions have been read in the Installation manual.
All parts listed in the Installation manual are included in the box.
All of the necessary mounting hardware has been gathered including nylon
cable ties (for pole or rebar mounting), four #8 screws (Smart Relay), and
six fasteners appropriate for mounting surface (Wiring Hub & Control Pad).
All of the necessary tools have been gathered (drill, drill bits, knife, Phillips &
flathead screwdrivers, level, wire cutters/strippers, channel lock pliers).
The Wiring Hub, Control Pad, and Smart Relay will be mounted a minimum
of 6’ horizontal distance from the pool or spa and a minimum of 4’ vertical
distance off the ground.
The Control Pad and Smart Relay will be mounted a maximum of 15’ from
the Wiring Hub.
The Control Pad will be mounted in a location that is convenient for viewing
and changing settings.
The Control Pad will be mounted with enough clearance above the enclo-
sure so that the flip door will be able to open fully.

When wiring is complete, use a remov-
able foam gasket (located on the Wiring
Hub’s inside cover) to seal the low
voltage wiring channel.
Wrap it around
the low voltage wiring exit at the bottom
of the Wiring Hub and work it into the exit
slot until fully sealed.

The Smart Relay requires a Neutral connection if using 115 VAC. Before in-
stallation, confirm that there is a Neutral line available or run one separately.
