Removal and Installation Encoder Strip Refer to Figure 30 to Figure 32. WARNING CAUTION Removal Switch off the printer and remove the power cord. 1. Remove the following 1. "Left Hand Cover" see page 8-13. 2. "Right Hand Cover" see page 8-4. 3. "Back Cover" see page 8-32. To prevent damage to the encoder strip, hold it at the ends only. NOTE Working from the rear of the printer. NOTE For steps 2 and 3, refer to Figure 30. 2. Remove five 7mm nuts (item 1) from the EMC Cover (item 2). 3. Removal
WARNING
Switch off the printer and remove the power cord.
1.
Remove the following
1.
"Left Hand Cover" see page 8-13.
2.
"Right Hand Cover" see page 8-4.
3.
"Back Cover" see page 8-32.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the encoder strip, hold it at the ends only.
NOTE
Working from the rear of the printer.
NOTE
For steps 2 and 3, refer to Figure 30.
2.
Remove five 7mm nuts (item 1) from the EMC Cover (item 2).
3.
Remove two T-15 screws (item 3) from the EMC Cover and remove
the plate.
