The HP Color LaserJet 2500 Series printers are supported in Microsoft Windows Vista.

You can either install the printer driver software that is available in Windows Vista or

you can download and install the printer drivers from HP.com when they become

available.

Install and use the HP Color LaserJet 2500 Series drivers that

are currently available in the Windows Vista operating

system.

USB Install

To install the printer driver included in Windows Vista follow the instructions below.

Simply plug a USB cable into the printer and attach the other end to the USB port on the

computer while the printer is in a Ready state and Windows Vista is up and running.

The HP Color LaserJet 2500 PCL5 driver will automatically be installed via Windows

plug-and-play. The HP Color LaserJet 2500 PCL5 driver will only print in black and

white. In order to achieve color printing, the HP Color LaserJet 2500 PS (postscript)

driver must be installed. Follow the steps below to install the HP Color LaserJet 2500 PS

driver.

in Windows Vista.

under the Hardware and Sound heading.

In the Printers section of the control panel select

Add A Printer
