Using fax polling If someone else has set up a fax to be polled, you can request that the fax be sent to your device. (This is known as polling another machine). To poll (request a fax from) another fax machine 1. On the device control panel, press MENU. 2. Use the < or the > button to select Fax functions, and then press ENTER. 3. Use the < or the > button to select Polling receive, and then press ENTER. 4. Use the alphanumeric buttons to enter the number of the fax machine that you want to request the fax from, and then press ENTER. Your device dials the other fax machine and requests the fax.
