3. Grasp the fuser handles and pull them to remove the fuser from the device. CAUTION The parts on the internal surface of the fuser are very hot. To avoid burning yourself, do not touch those parts. 4. Using both hands, slowly and steadily remove any print media from inside the device. Then, carefully reinsert the fuser and secure the locks. 5. Reconnect the power cable, and then turn on the device. To clear a media jam from the automatic document feeder (ADF) 1. Open the ADF cover. Note Verify that any shipping tape inside the ADF has been removed. 2. Remove the jam cleanout part. Using both hands, lift up on the two handles until the part unsnaps. Rotate and lift out the cleanout part and set it aside. 3. Gently try to remove the page without tearing it. If you feel resistance, go to the next step. ENWW Other: How do I? 173
