Chapter 8 Toolbox tabs The Toolbox contains the following tabs. Tabs Contents Estimated Ink Level • Ink Level Information: Shows estimated ink level for each cartridge. NOTE: Ink level alerts and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When you receive a low-ink alert, consider having a replacement cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. You do not need to replace the ink cartridges until print quality becomes unacceptable. • Shop Online: Provides access to a Web site from which you can order printing supplies for the device online. • Dial a cartridge: Shows telephone numbers that you can call to order supplies for the device. Telephone numbers are not available for all countries/regions. • Cartridge Details: Shows order numbers of the installed ink cartridges. Services • Print a Printer Status Report: Allows you to print the Printer Status page of the device. This page contains information about the device and ink cartridges. For more information, see Understand the printer status page. • Align Printhead: Guides you through aligning the printhead. For more information, see Align the printer. • Clean Printhead: Guides you through cleaning the printhead. For more information, see Clean the printhead. Network NOTE: The Network tab is only shown if the device has an active network or wireless connection. The Network tab displays the current active network settings. Click the Change Settings... to open the Network Toolbox and change the network settings and run diagnostic tests. Network Toolbox The Network Toolbox allows you to view and change some network settings. You can change the IP address, turn the wireless radio on or off, perform tests, and print reports. To open the Network Toolbox 1. Open the Toolbox 2. Click the Network Settings tab. 3. Click the Change Settings... button. 96 Configure and manage
