For optimum compatibility, servers should be connected to a UPS that provides the same type of wave output. If your server power supply will tolerate

HP Insight Dynamics – VSE: Next-generation platform management for ProLiant
and ProLiant server blades
HP Insight Dynamics – Virtual Server Environment (VSE) software is a tool used to manage physical and virtual resources in the
same way. It also enables customers to create and manage logical servers. The logical server is a server profile containing
everything the OS and application stack require to operate. It can be easily created and moved across physical and virtual
machines. By detaching the logical identity from the physical resource, customers can create or move logical servers on any
suitable virtual or physical machine—on demand.
HP Insight Dynamics – VSE:
Brings the flexibility of virtualization to physical servers. The software lets system administrators define logical servers from
server blades or virtual machines, or from an offline template that can be assigned resources at a later time. The logical
server approach enables administrators to plan, deploy, move, and adjust server workloads, quickly and easily, regardless of
whether they are running on a physical server or in a virtual machine.
Enables real-time capacity planning for servers and power. The Capacity Advisor functionality provides administrators with
detailed historical data about the server resources, allowing them to make informed decisions about optimal workload
placement. When performing a logical server activation or move operation, Insight Dynamics – VSE analyzes CPU, memory,
network, and disk resources, and power consumption metrics. The data is collected at 5 minute intervals with more than a
thousand data points per server per day. It provides recommendations on the best fit for server workloads with a five-star,
“best-fit” system. The capacity planning functionality allows system administrators to evaluate consolidation and rebalancing
options, and create “what-if” scenarios. It is built on HP Labs “Smart solver technology” that uses the historical data to
