Drives the duplex reverse solenoid for 10 seconds. Drives the laser/scanner motor at a specified speed for 10 seconds. Additional component tests The following tests are not supported in the firmware. These component tests are accomplished by manipulating or observing the product during operation or when the power is turned on. Listen at the back side of the product for the sound of the lift motor for that tray. If the lift motor does not make a sound and the paper surface sensor for that tray passes a sensor test (see Tray/Bin manual sensor test on page 300), replace the lifter drive assembly. Turn the product power off, and then on. Listen at the left-front-lower corner area of the print engine for fan noise while the product initializes.
