. The controllers may be above or in the middle of the disk enclosures, depending on the number of disk enclosures and how the rack was initially configured. If installing rails in a round hole rack, use smaller-sized shoulder screws and pins for mounting. disk enclosure NOTE: The rear ends of the rails have a CTO bracket that must engage the device chassis to secure the rear of the chassis to the rails. 2. When cabling the device, use holes provided in the rear rack rails, install tie wraps, and route external cable as required. You may need to reconfigure the cables between the disk enclosures, depending on whether the expansion rack is for a P6300 EVA or P6500 EVA configuration. until the other I/O module is connected. At that point, the I/O module firmware will be upgraded. 7. Complete the connections to I/O module B on the expansion rack disk enclosure: a. Remove the cable between P2 (I/O-B) in the last disk enclosure in the top group in the main rack and P1 (I/O-B) on - HP EVA P6000 | HP P6300/P6500 Enterprise Virtual Array Expansion Rack Reference - Page 16
Using the end of the cable unplugged in Step 5, connect the cable to P2 (I/O-A) on the newly installed disk enclosure in the expansion rack (2, Figure 12). enclosures and enclosure modules are properly installed and seated. • Each power supply is connected to one of the electrical outlets in the rack. • The end connector of each cable is plugged into the correct disk enclosure I/O module. rack, observe each power supply. Each disk enclosure has two power supplies. Each power supply has one green LED on its fan casing. Make sure the green light on each power supply is on and not flashing. If not, diagnose and correct the problem before proceeding with the next steps.
