Introduction

HP requires the installation of the HP-UX 11i v3 OE Update Release for September 2012 and the additional

components from this Errata document for the initial HP-UX support of these new HP Integrity Superdome 2

CB900s i4 server blade models. The new HP Superdome 2 CB900s i4 server blades cannot be supported

on OE Update releases before September 2012.

Instructions for Download and Installation of Required HP-UX Components

Install the desired Operating Environment (OE) from the September 2012 release to the new HP Superdome

2 CB900s i4 server. Then, download and install the following additional HP-UX components for your server:

PHSS_43248: 11.31 HPVM B.06.10.05 CORE PATCH – This patch should be installed on the

Virtualization Services Platform (VSP) on top of HPVM/vPars 6.1.5. For details, see the

PHSS_43165: 11.31 gWLM patch to support shared guests on HPVM 6.x – Matrix Operating

Environment 7.1 Update 2 includes the correct version of gWLM (Global Workload Management)

supporting Dynamic Cores. The gWLM patch PHSS_43165 needs to be installed on a managed node

on top of gWLM Agent of Matrix Operating Environment 7.1 Update 2.
