USB support HP provides both standard USB support and legacy USB support. Standard support is provided by the OS through the appropriate USB device drivers. Before the OS loads, HP provides support for USB devices through legacy USB support, which is enabled by default in the system ROM. Legacy USB support provides USB functionality in environments where USB support is not available normally. Specifically, HP provides legacy USB functionality for the following: • POST • RBSU • Diagnostics • DOS • Operating environments which do not provide native USB support Clustering software If the server uses cluster software, such as Microsoft® Cluster Server or Novell Cluster Services, refer to the documentation provided with the application for cluster troubleshooting information. For software troubleshooting information and frequently asked questions, refer to the Microsoft® or Novell websites. To collect information on cluster configurations, run the Cluster Monitor integrated with HP SIM ("HP Systems Insight Manager" on page 70). For additional clustering documentation, refer to the High Availability website (http://h18004.www1.hp.com/solutions/enterprise/highavailability). Diagnostic tools HP Insight Diagnostics HP Insight Diagnostics is a proactive server management tool, available in both offline and online versions, that provides diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities to assist IT administrators who verify server installations, troubleshoot problems, and perform repair validation. HP Insight Diagnostics Offline Edition performs various in-depth system and component testing while the OS is not running. To run this utility, launch the SmartStart CD. HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition is a web-based application that captures system configuration and other related data needed for effective server management. Available in Microsoft® Windows® and Linux versions, the utility helps to ensure proper system operation. For more information or to download the utility, refer to the HP website (http://www.hp.com/servers/diags).
