1 Planning the SCSI busses
The adapter has two channels. If you will only put one
device on each channel, skip this step.
When planning the SCSI busses, consider the following:
Total bus cable length varies by the type of attached
devices. When the bus only contains LVD devices, the
maximum length is 12 m.
If you are putting Single-Ended devices on a bus, see
the
User Guide
on the product CD for more details.
The last device on each bus must be terminated. When
planning device termination, keep the following in mind:
Use an LVD terminator if the bus only has LVD devices.
LVD Ultra2 and Ultra160 SCSI devices cannot supply
their own termination.
