Shutdown after Fan Failure or Removal

Documentation and Guides for the hp 9000 rp4440 Server describe automatic shutdown two minutes after a fan

failure or removal. Server firmware reports the fan failure/removal, and requests a soft shutdown after two minutes,

but the shutdown request is not supported at this time. System logs will record the failure and the shutdown request.

After a fan failure or removal, server fans go to high speed. Server operation continues normally. A shutdown will

occur if the server detects an overtemperature condition.

900 MHz Processors No Longer Available

Documentation and Guides for the hp 9000 rp4440 Server erroneously report the availability of a 900 MHz processor

for installation in the Server. The 900 MHz processor is no longer available.

CPU Install Kit Part Number

The part number for the CPU Install Kit (required for CPU removal and installation) is stated incorrectly in some hp 9000

rp4440 Server documentation. The correct HP P/N for this kit is 5069-5441.
