operate Business Copy from the Remote Web Console computer, and copy volumes in the storage system. A volume that has original data is called a P-VOL, and a volume to which the data is copied is called an S-VOL. A pair of the P-VOL and the S-VOL made by Business Copy is called a Business Copy pair - HP XP24000 | HP StorageWorks XP24000 Business Copy Software User's Guid - Page 15
You can operate Business Copy by using the Remote Web Console computer. Remote Web Console is attached to the storage systems via the TCP/IP local-area network (LAN). The Remote Web Console communicates and exchanges data directly with the service processor (SVP) of attached storage systems. You can - HP XP24000 | HP StorageWorks XP24000 Business Copy Software User's Guid - Page 16
(S-VOLs) by Continuous Access. When you create a new volume pair, the initial copy starts and all the data in the P-VOL is copied to the S-VOL. Figure 3 on page 17 shows the change of the status of a pair from the start to the end of the initial copy operation. 16 About Business Copy Operations - HP XP24000 | HP StorageWorks XP24000 Business Copy Software User's Guid - Page 17

Split Pair Operation The Business Copy split capability provides point-in-time backup of your data, and also facilitates real data testing by making the Business Copy copies (S-VOLs) available for host access.
