Glossary ACPI Advanced Configuration and Power Interface blue screen A blue screen (or BSOD, Blue Screen Of Death) is a screen with a blue background that appears when a Windowsbased computer crashes boot loader The first program to execute when a system is booted. BOOTP Bootstrap Protocol CVOL Client Volume Overlay. Changes made by a user to a virtual disk are written to a cache file called a CVOL file on the server. CVOLCompactor Tool A tool which allows you to reduce the size of an overlay file.
