SUPERVISED MINIATURE
TRANSMITTER
INSTALLATION AND SETUP GUIDE
The ADEMCO 5802MN is a wireless transmitter that may
be worn on a belt (belt holder supplied) or around the
neck (necklace supplied). Pressing the button on the
transmitter sends a signal to the control receiver. The
5802MN is intended for use only with wireless alarm
systems that support 5800 Series devices.
The
transmitter
is
supervised,
i.e.,
every
hour
it
automatically sends a message to the control receiver
that includes battery status information.
This transmitter can be programmed as any zone type
response (e.g., Emergency Panics, Relay Action, etc.).
Battery Replacement
The 5802MN is powered by a long-life Lithium battery that
may be replaced when a low battery is eventually
indicated by the control unit.
NOTE:
Although the 5802MN is water-resistant, please
do not submerge.
Programming the Serial Number
The 5802MN has a unique identification code (serial
number) permanently assigned during manufacture.
You must “enroll” the transmitter’s serial number and loop
number during system programming. The 5802MN may
be defined as Input Type “RF” (supervised RF, for an
hourly check-in;
do not
take out of range) or “UR”
(Unsupervised RF). Its loop number is “1.” See the control
unit’s Installation Instructions for further details regarding
programming.
When installation is complete, verify operation from
desired location(s).
