ADEMCO 5802MN2
SUPERVISED MINIATURE TRANSMITTER
INSTALLATION AND SETUP GUIDE
The ADEMCO 5802MN is a wireless transmitter that may
be worn on a belt or around the neck (belt clip and
necklace supplied). Pressing both buttons on the
transmitter at the same time sends a signal to the control
receiver. The 5802MN2 is intended for use only with
wireless alarm systems that support 5800 Series devices.
The transmitter is supervised, i.e., it automatically sends a
message to the control receiver that includes battery
status information every 70-90 minutes.
This transmitter can be programmed as any zone type
response (e.g., Emergency Panic, Relay Action, etc.).
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The 5802MN2 is powered by two long-life Lithium
batteries that may be replaced when a low battery is
eventually indicated by the control unit.
NOTE:
Although the 5802MN2 is water-resistant, please
do not
submerge.
PROGRAMMING THE SERIAL NUMBER
The 5802MN2 has a unique identification code (serial
number) permanently assigned during manufacture.
You must “enroll” the transmitter’s serial number and loop
number during system programming. The 5802MN2 may
be defined as Input Type “RF” (supervised RF,
do not
take out of range) or “UR” (Unsupervised RF). Its loop
number is “1.” See the control unit’s
Installation
Instructions for further details regarding programming.
When installation is complete, verify operation from
desired location(s).
