2 Product Overview Interface or Button PHONE WAN WPS WLAN ON/OFF HUAWEI HG256 User Guide Description It is used to connect the phone to the HG256. Ethernet interface used to connect Ethernet devices that provide Internet access interfaces. Button used to enable the WPS function. It is used to enable or disable the WLAN function. It is used to power on or off the HG256. WPS is a standard for easy and secure establishment of a WLAN. Through the WPS function, you can access a WLAN on your wireless terminal devices securely without entering the name and password of the WLAN. 2.2.2 Indicators Table 2-2 describes the indicators of the HG256. Table 2-2 Indicators of the HG256 Indicator Color Status POWER Green On - Off WAN Green Blinking Green On - Off INTERNET Green On Red On - Off Indicates The HG256 is powered on. The HG256 is powered off. The LAN connection is successfully established and data is being transmitted. The LAN connection is successfully established but no data is being transmitted. The HG256 is powered off or the LAN connection is not yet established. A connection is set up between the Internet and the WAN interface of the HG256, but no data is being transmitted on the WAN interface. A physical connection is set up, but the HG256 is not connected to the Internet.
