7 Maintenance Guide 7.5 Upgrading Software HUAWEI HG256 User Guide Function Overview By using the software upgrading function, you can upgrade the software of the HG256 to the latest version. During the upgrade, do not power off the HG256; otherwise, the HG256 may get damaged. Configuration Example To upgrade the software of the HG256, do as follows: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Log in to the Web-based configuration utility. In the navigation tree, choose Maintenance > Device. On the Firmware Upgrade tab, click Browse. In the displayed dialog box, select the upgrade file. Then click OK. 7.5 Upgrading Software
Function Overview
By using the software upgrading function, you can upgrade the software of the HG256 to
the latest version.
During the upgrade, do not power off the HG256; otherwise, the HG256 may get
damaged.
Configuration Example
To upgrade the software of the HG256, do as follows:
Step 1
Log in to the Web-based configuration utility.
Step 2
In the navigation tree, choose
Maintenance
>
Device
.
Step 3
On the
Firmware Upgrade
tab, click
Browse
.
Step 4
In the displayed dialog box, select the upgrade file. Then click
OK
.
Step 5
Click
Software Upgrade
.
