Customizing the YouTube Settings 6 Open the YouTube application, and then touch > Settings. 11 Synchronizing Data Some applications on your phone give you access to the same personal data that you can add, view, and edit on the Internet from your computer. If you add, change, or delete your data in any of these applications on the Internet, the updated data is also synchronized to your phone. This process is called over-the-air data synchronization. In this process, your phone synchronizes data in the background, which does not affect your use of the phone. When your phone is synchronizing data, is displayed in the notification bar. 11.1 Managing Your Accounts You can synchronize contacts, emails, and other data on your phone between multiple Google accounts or other types of accounts, depending on the applications installed on your phone. For example, you can start by adding your personal Google account, so that your personal contacts, emails, and calendar are always available. Then you can add a work account, so that your work contacts and emails are handy. If you like, you can add multiple Google accounts or other types of accounts. 11.1.1 Adding an Account When you add an account, the Contacts application compares contacts from the newly added account with those from the existing accounts on your phone and attempts to merge duplicate data into a single entry in Contacts.
