5. PVR 5.2 Recording Using the built-in hard disk drive, you can record a programme without an external media device such as a VCR. 1. General Recording Press the RECORD button on the remote control to record the current programme instantly. You can select the point you want to record using the / button. Press the RECORD button to start instant recording from that point. To record another channel, change channels while recording and press the RECORD button again. You can record up to two channels simultaneously. While doing so, you can perform TSR (Time Shifted Recording) and view the programmes on air. If you press the STOP button while recording two other channels, you will be prompted to select a recording you wish to stop. If a reserved recording is about to start while recording two other channels already, you will be prompted to stop one of the currently recording channels. Note: • Ensure that there is enough free space before recording. If the free space on the hard disk drive is insufficient, recording will stop. Recording one hour of programme may require up to 2 or 3GB of hard disk space. The space for recording a 1 hour programme may differ depending on the programme. • You can record radio programmes also. 2. Descrambling and Re-recording You can descramble and re-record the recorded file. 1. Press the RECORD button at the point you want to record while playback. 2. Press the STOP button to stop recording. A pop-up message will appear. Select Yes and press the OK button. Then the recording will stop but the playback will continue. 3.
