Previous view 5 FUNCTIONS FOR RECEIVE Noise Blanker (Mode: SSB/CW/RTTY/AM) The Noise Blanker eliminates pulse-type noise such as noise from car ignitions. ➥➥Push NB (D) to turn the Noise Blanker function ON or OFF. • "NB" is displayed when the Noise Blanker is ON. When using the Noise Blanker function, received signals may be distorted if they are excessively strong or when used for noise other than pulses. In this case, set the Noise Blanker threshold level to a shallow position, or turn OFF the function. (see below) The L, R, C or D in the instructions indicate the part of the controller. L: Left side, R: Right side, C: Center bottom D: Display (Touch screen) NB NB icon DDNB Set mode To deal with various types of noise, the attenuation level and noise blanking duration can be set in the NB set mode. qqHold down NB (C) for 1 second to display the "NB" screen (Noise blanker). wwTouch [Y] or [Z](D) to select the desired item. eeRotate the Dial to select the desired option. • If desired, touch [DEF](D) for 1 second to reset to the default setting. rrPush NB (C) to return to the previous screen. 1.
