Thank you for choosing this Icom product.
READ
ALL INSTRUCTIONS
carefully and completely
before using this product.
With the RS-AERO1A or RS-AERO1I, you can edit
waypoints and flight plans used with the IC-A25N
or IC-A25NE.
The following system is required to use the
application. (As of September 2017)
Data device
•
Android™ version 4.0 or later

Download the application from the Google Play.
•
iOS version 8.0.1 or later

Download the application from the App Store.
Transceiver
•
IC-A25N or IC-A25NE
Disclaimer
• The application may not work, depending on the OS
version, installed application, and so on.
• These Instructions are based on using iPad (iOS
10.3). Depending on the OS version or setting, the
indications or items may differ.
• The screen shots on these Instructions are just
examples, so the contents may differ from the actual
ones.
• Bluetooth LE is used to connect with the transceiver,
so there may be a time delay between the
transceiver’s operation and the display on the data
device.
• You may need to connect to the Internet through a
Wireless LAN, a 3G network
,
or an LTE network for
some functions.
• Do not read or write data to/from the transceiver
while receiving or transmitting audio. The
transceiver cannot receive or transmit audio while
reading or writing data to/from a data device.

Bluetooth connection
Tap to open the “Bluetooth devices” screen, to
connect the IC-A25N or IC-A25NE.
Connecting the IC-A25N/IC-A25NE
•
Android device:
1. Preparation

Confirm the Android device’s Bluetooth is ON, and
the application is running.
2. Connecting

Select the “Data Device” item on the IC-A25N or
IC-A25NE.
([MENU] > Bluetooth > Pairing/Connect >
Search Device >
Data Device
)
• The transceiver searches for the device.

Select the device to pair, and then push [ENT].

A passkey or PIN code may be required to pair,
depending on the device. Refer to your device’s
instructions for details.

The device name changes to its Bluetooth device
address in 5 seconds.

Push [MENU] to return to the Main screen.

Select the “Le Device” item on the IC-A25N or
IC-A25NE.
([MENU] > Bluetooth > Pairing/Connect >
Search Device >
LE Device

2. Connecting
1. Tap “Bluetooth connection.”
• The “Bluetooth devices” screen is displayed.
2.
Tap “Scan.”
• Scan starts and found devices are displayed.
3.
Tap the IC-A25N or IC-A25NE’s name to pair.
• Returns to the “Select the Startup action” screen, if
the transceiver is correctly connected.
