Product Description 1.13.1.2 ENERGY STAR* In 2007, the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency revised the ENERGY STAR* requirements. Intel has worked directly with these two governmental agencies to define the new requirements. Currently Intel Desktop Boards meet the new requirements. Wake from S4 and S5 is optional by the specification. NOTE The use of these wake-up events from an ACPI state requires an operating system that provides full ACPI support. In addition, software, drivers, and peripherals must fully support ACPI wake events. 33
