Using the CN50 Batteries
These CN50 lithium-ion batteries are designed for use in the
CN50 Mobile Computer:

Charging the Battery
Before using your CN50, you need to fully charge the battery.
Batteries can be charged after a partial discharge without
affecting the original battery capacity.

Important Recommendations
Charge the battery before use.
See “Charging the Battery” for approved charging methods. Use
of this battery in other devices could result in damage to the
device or battery.
The battery pack temperature range for charging is 0°C to 45°C
(32°F to 113°F). For maximum battery life, Intermec
recommends charging batteries at 25°C (77°F).
Do not store the battery at temperatures above
60°C (140°F)

such as inside a car on a hot day or in direct sunlight, as this
may damage the battery.
Battery usage by children should be supervised.
Do not disassemble, open, crush, bend or deform, puncture,
shred, or burn.
Do not modify the battery or attempt to insert foreign objects
into the battery.
Do not solder directly to the battery contacts.
Do not immerse the battery in water.
Do not short circuit the battery. Keep the battery connector
away from metallic items.
Do not apply mechanical shocks or pressure to the battery.
Do not drop the battery or the CN50. If you suspect that the
battery or CN50 is damaged, send it to an Intermec service
center for inspection.
Replace the battery only with another AB24 or AB25 battery.
This battery has been tested in accordance with applicable
safety standards. Contact your Intermec sales representative or
distributor if this battery is no longer available.
Discarded batteries may create a safety hazard. Before disposal,
cover the battery connector with electrical insulating tape.

Proper Disposal of Waste Batteries

Keep all waste batteries out of unsorted trash.
2.
Dispose of all waste batteries in separate collection for treatment and recycling.

Marking of the battery:
1.
The wheeled-bin symbol indicates the requirement for separate collection of the battery.
2.
Two letters shown underneath the wheeled bin indicate the presence of a certain substance:
a.
Hg means Mercury is present
b.
Cd means Cadmium is present
c.
Pb means Lead is present
3.
The Moebius loop (chasing arrows) indicates that the battery is recyclable.
