Chapter 8 Troubleshooting Display on LCD switches OFF. Has the scanner been left out of operation for a long time after being powered on? No Is the display still turned off even after you turned the power back on? The scanner is in power saving mode. Resume from power saving mode by one of the following methods. Yes z Load a document on the hopper. z Press any button on the operator panel. However, do not press the power button for more than two seconds because it will turn the power off. z Execute a command from the scanner driver. The scanner is operating correctly. No Yes If the above countermeasures do not solve the problem, check the items in "8.4 Before You Contact the Scanner Service Provider" (page 166) first, then contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
