When scanning in black & white, you can use the dot rate to process the blank page(s) for the white and black backgrounds separately. When scanning in grayscale/color, you can use the sensitivity to process the blank page(s) for the white and black backgrounds together. You can specify a compression rate and the image quality for scanning in color/grayscale. You can also configure a sample ratio used for compression.
