Interrupting a copy job The current jobs can be temporarily interrupted so a document can be copied with different copy settings. This is convenient for quickly making a copy. " The [Interrupt] key cannot be pressed while a document is being scanned. " When the [Interrupt] key is pressed, the copy settings return to their defaults. 1 In the home screen, press [Copy]. 2 Place the document on the original glass or load it into the ADF. " For details on positioning the document, refer to "Placing a document on the original glass" on page 4-36 and "Loading a document into the ADF" on page 4-37. 3 Press the [Interrupt] key. The indicator on the [Interrupt] key lights up in green, and printing of the current job stops. 4 Specify the copy settings. 5 To make a color copy, press the [Start (Color)] key. To make a black-and-white copy, press the [Start (B&W)] key. 6 After the interrupting job has finished printing, press the [Interrupt] key. The indicator on the [Interrupt] key goes off, and Interrupt mode is can- celed. Printing of the job that was interrupted continues. 8-2 Interrupting a copy job
