3.5 Scan to HDD Function 3 3.5 Scan to HDD Function For all users who have been authenticated through User Authentication, the machine enables the operation of Scan to HDD function. It also enables operations for acquiring and printing image files stored in the HDD. Scan to HDD stores the image file scanned by the machine in the HDD together with user information. The image file can be stored as "Public" or "Personal". The stored image file can be accessed from the control panel or PC through authentication of the user name and password. Encryption communication using the SSL/TLS protocol is performed when the image file is downloaded from the machine to the PC, so that the data is protected. 3.5.1 Registering image files 0 For the logon procedure, see page 3-2. 0 Do not leave the machine while you are in the user operation mode.
