4.3 Scan Settings 4 4.3 Scan Settings Configure the detailed original scan settings according to the original conditions and the purpose of sending data. It will help to send scanned data in the optimal condition. Overview Simplex/Duplex Original Type Resolution Density File Type Color Scan Size Background Removal Original Settings Select whether to scan one side or both sides of the original. Select the image quality of the original according to the content of the original to be scanned. Select the scan resolution of the original. Adjust the scan density of the original. Select the file type used for saving the scanned data. Select the scan color of the original. Select the scan size of the original. Adjust the settings for removing background if the original to be scanned has a colored background or so thin that text or images on its back would be scanned. Specify the direction in which the original is loaded. If double-sided originals are loaded, specify the binding position.
