The basic configuration of a PRESCRIBE command sequence is: !R! command; command; ...; command; EXIT; There is a limit to the number of commands you can include between the initial !R! and the final EXIT;. The initial !R! must be followed by a space, and each command must end with a semicolon. The use of PRESCRIBE commands in document files is conditional on the behavior of your word processing software. Some word processing programs add control codes that interNote fere with PRESCRIBE.
