1. Turn off the computer, then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait for a few minutes, till the inside of the computer cools, before you start the following procedures. 2. Be sure to remove any card inserted in the Media card reader. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over. 3. Remove the battery. See "Replacing the battery" on page 89. 4. Remove the optical drive. See "Replacing the optical drive" on page 103. 5. Remove the screws that secure the palm rest from the bottom side of the computer. 6. Turn the computer over and open the display.
