Notes: If you install the secondary hard disk drive using hot swap or warm swap, and the hard disk drive is protected by a password, you cannot get access to the drive right after inserting the adapter into the bay. To get access to it, do the following: 1. Put your computer into hibernation mode. You might have to wait for a while till the computer enters hibernation mode. 2. Press the power button to return to normal operation. The hard disk password icon is displayed on the screen. 3. Type the password. Then you can get access to the hard disk drive. Using the extended life battery To extend the battery life of your computer, you can purchase an extended life battery, ThinkPad Battery 28++, from Lenovo and attach it to your computer through the docking station connector. To attach the extended life battery, do the following: 1. Turn off the computer, or enter hibernation mode. Then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. 2. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over. 3. Align the connector of the extended life battery with the docking station connector at the bottom of the computer.
