7003-XXX Fuser idle gear links removal 1. Remove the front access cover. See "Front access cover removal" on page 4-2 for more information. 2. Remove the left side cover. See "Left side cover removal" on page 4-3. 3. Place MFP on its right side. Protect the cover from being marred. 4. Remove the four screws (A) securing the gear train cover. 5. Remove the gear train cover. 6. Grasp the rear link with your index fingers and thumb on each side of the shaft, and unsnap the link (B) from the shaft. 7. Disconnect front link from coupler, and remove links. Repair information 4-21

Fuser idle gear links removal
1.
Remove the front access cover. See
“Front access cover removal” on page 4-2
for more information.
2.
Remove the left side cover. See
“Left side cover removal” on page 4-3
.
3.
Place MFP on its right side. Protect the cover from being marred.
4.
Remove the four screws (A) securing the gear train cover.
5.
Remove the gear train cover.
6.
Grasp the rear link with your index fingers and thumb on each side of the shaft, and unsnap the link (B)
from the shaft.
7.
Disconnect front link from coupler, and remove links.
