WIRING » EARTH GROUND ROD INSTALLATION (OPTIONAL) + CONNECT BATTERIES EARTH GROUND ROD INSTALLATION (OPTIONAL) NOTE: For proper operation, do not connect the earth ground rod to the green screw on the outlet plate. 1 Install earth ground rod within 3 feet (0.9 m) of the operator. 2 Disconnect and remove the green/yellow ground wire connected to the screw terminal of the control board. 3 Attach earth ground rod wire to the screw terminal of the control board marked . Ensure the power wiring ground connection remains securely connected to the green screw on the outlet plate. The operator is a battery run system. Both batteries are charged in circuit using the transformer (provided).
