Turning on Your VCR 11 Before turning on your VCR, make sure batteries are in the remote control and you have connected the VCR and TV correctly. Light This light glows when the VCR is turned off to set a timer recording, during a timer recording, or during a OneTouch Recording. It flashes if the power is off for a timer recording, but there is no tape in the VCR.
