Water hardness Water hardness is an indication of the amount of minerals dissolved in water. The more minerals in the water, the higher the water hardness. The harder the water is, the more frequently the coffee machine needs to be descaled. Filling the coffee bean container Coffee or espresso can be made from whole roasted coffee beans which are freshly ground for each cup. This requires the coffee bean container to be filled with coffee beans. Alternatively, you can make coffee drinks with ready ground coffee.
