emergency calls Your service provider programs one or more emergency phone numbers that you can call under any circumstances. Emergency calls can be made without a SIM card, when your phone is locked, or when the SIM card is blocked. Note: Emergency numbers vary by country. Your phone's preprogrammed emergency number(s) may not work in all locations, and sometimes an emergency call cannot be placed due to network, environmental, or interference issues. Dial 911 or your local emergency number to be connected to an emergency response center. If you are on an active call, you must end it before making an emergency call.
