Overview of the base 1 FIND a) Press to find/page all registered handsets or the wireless headset. Press the button again, or any key on the handset, to turn off page signal. 2 ANSWER ON/OFF a) Press to turn on/off the answering machine. Getting to know your phone 3 ANNOUNCE MODE a) Press to toggle the announce mode between ANNC & RECORD and ANNOUNCE ONLY mode. 4 VOLUMEa) In idle mode, during message playback or during call screening: Decrease the loudspeaker volume by one level (0 to 8). 5 VOLUME+ a) In idle mode, during message playback or during call screening: Increase the loudspeaker volume by one level (0 to 8). 6 Charging LED - Green a) Steadily ON: When the handset is put into base cradle for charging. 7 In Use LED - Red a) Steadily ON: During a call or when an extension phone (another registered handset or wireless headset) is engaged. b) Flashing at a rate similar to the incoming ring pattern: During an incoming call. c) Flashing briefly on and off for 1 minute: During paging or registration. 15
