C Power Saving Function (Auto Off) If no operations are performed for a while, the monitor will turn off, the camera will enter standby mode, and the power-on lamp will flash. If no operations are performed for approximately another three minutes, the camera will turn off automatically. While the camera is in standby mode, the monitor turns back on if you perform any of the following operations: ➝ Press the power switch, shutter-release button, A (shooting mode) button, c (playback) button, or b (e movie-record) button Flashes No operations performed No operations performed 15m 0s 3 min 970 Camera enters standby mode. Camera turns off. • The time that elapses before the camera enters standby mode can be changed using the Auto off setting in the setup menu (A 86). • By default, the camera enters standby mode in about 30 seconds when you are using shooting mode or playback mode.
