Option y Center Description The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame. The focus area is always displayed in the center of the frame. M Target finding AF (default setting) When the camera detects the main subject, it focuses on that subject. ➝ "Target Finding AF" (A 69) 29m 0s 860 Focus area 1 / 2 5 0 F 3.3 Focus area B Notes About AF Area Mode • When the digital zoom is in effect, the camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame regardless of the applied AF area mode option. • In some rare cases of shooting subjects for which autofocus does not perform as expected (A 72), the subject may not be in focus. • Some settings cannot be used with other functions (A 65). • When target finding AF is selected and the camera does not focus on the desired subject, set AF area mode to Center.
