6First Steps Introduction-First Steps Removing Memory Cards Memory cards may be hot after use. Observe due caution when removing memory cards from the camera. Removing Memory Cards Memory cards can be removed without loss of data when the camera is off. Before removing the memory card, wait for the green card access lamp next to the card slot cover to go out and then turn the camera off. Pressing the memory card slot cover latch, open the card slot cover and press the eject button to partially eject the card (1). You can then remove the card by hand (2). Do NOT attempt to remove the card while the access lamp is on. Failure to observe this precaution could result in loss of data or in damage to the camera or card. 1 2 Access lamp 24

cards from the camera.
Removing Memory Cards
Memory cards can be removed without loss of data when
the camera is off.
Before removing the memory card,
wait for the green card access lamp next to the card slot
cover to go out and then turn the camera off.
Pressing
the memory card slot cover latch, open the card slot
cover and press the eject button to partially eject the
card (1).
You can then remove the card by hand (2).
Do
NOT
attempt to remove the card while the access lamp is
