The term “C9 Server” in this document refers to the Fiery
®
C9 Server.
Setup
Security certification for Fiery Setup Wizard in Configure
When you open the Fiery Setup Wizard from WebTools or Command WorkStation, a security certificate error
occurs. The Fiery Setup Wizard uses the HTTPS protocol. A common security certificate that works for all network
environments cannot be installed on the C9 Server, which results in the certificate error. This is expected behavior.
You can safely click “Continue to this website (not recommended)” to proceed with the Fiery Setup Wizard. After
the C9 Server is set up, you will not see the certificate error again.
Startup order for Fiery Server and printer
The C9 Server requires the printer configuration information to properly set up C9 Server features, such as input
tray and specialty color. The printer has to come online before the C9 Server does, otherwise, a restart of the C9
Server is required.
Suspend on mismatch option
Paper weight mismatch is honored when the
Enable Job Mismatch
option is turned on in Setup and the
Mismatch
Action
is set to
Suspend
. In other cases, the printer uses the weight setting in the job and overrides the weight setting
in the trays.
Fiery Command WorkStation
Media weight for job does not match media weight set for tray on printer
When there is a media weight mismatch between the specified job and output tray, the printer overrides the tray and
honors the requested media weight for the job.
Media type mismatch between job and tray media type association on printer
If
User type 1
media type has been defined and is requested in a print job, but the printer does not have that media
type, the printer overrides the request with the media type set on the printer.
